There are some grammar and translation related issues here and there, but some of them honestly add to the charm because the main three characters seem kind of naïve and silly and it kind of suits them.

Your style works really well in the comic format too; it feels like we're finally getting a bit of context for all these wild and fantastic things you're always making. Hope you'll continue this sometime!

dogmuth-behedog responds:

Thank you for your words Bleak.
Sorry for my english, im still not good with that language.
Yep, this comic connect with the majority of my drawings. :D!

I still really like this one, but I'd love to see you try to do your linework digitally sometime! Your backgrounds are always so clean and have these great shapes, and I feel like the two elements could meld together better if the lineart matched that same style.

SpikeyBlum responds:

I appreciate your feedback. I actually use a digital brush with pencil-like texture for the linework. Getting the presentation to look 100% cohesive has been a personal struggle of mine, so I'm glad you pointed it out. I will definitely do more experimenting with different brushes that would mix better with the vector elements.

Aw, this looks great! You nailed that classic Sega style.

SpikeyBlum responds:

Thanks, Bleak. I always loved Sonic 2's zone intro screens!

I love this so much!

MadFanatic responds:

THANKS!!! I honestly did this quickly so is not my best work xP but still pretty fun to draw it!

This is gorgeous! It looks a little different than your usual stuff too I think, maybe it’s the color palette? I’m not really sure, but I love the composition.

MicroBihon responds:

Oh oh I can explain this :D
I actually searched for more subdued sunset references so I can make it feel more nostalgic. I also mixed the colors before hand for character base coloring so I can avoid relying on color correcting layers to avoid file bloating (but the file is still hefty lol)

I also started experimenting coloring my lineart. It gives that nice softer look to go with how pencil-y and thin my lineart tends to be hehe. The last time I did this is with my shiny Pansear piece (which is another sunset art) :>

Oh man, this thing is super cool. The angle, the lighting, and the subtle little halftones on the glowing bits; the whole thing has a fantastic look to it.

Slirth responds:

Thank you sm! :D

I still have no idea how you’re able to pull off this level of detail and have it all look so spot on.

RickSteubens responds:

a lot of staring and redoing the wheels (circles are evil)

Loving all the experimental shapes and textures you pulled out for this! It's a completely different take on her, but the geometric shapes really help retain some of the original elements in her design. :)

lambino responds:

thanks!! That's the fun part, experimenting!

This is so cute! I love your colors too! :D

P-PAMda responds:

thanks a lot! i had troubles with it because I didn't knew if they looked hallowen enough haha

Woah, I really like the style on this one! That sketchy look with the real life elements is just right.

SlushiePop responds:

Thank you I tried for something different, and I'm glad it came out ok :)

I write sad stories (with hope!) and then animate them in cute pastels to lull you into a false sense of security.
